Starting February 23rd\, we will be offering a Professio nal Standards Training Series. In order to meet the requirement to join th e Professional Standards Committee\, all 5 segments within the series must be completed.

Series Sch edule 

\n

Segment 1 - February 23rd at 10 am:  The System of Enforcement   

\n

This course will take you through the inception of the Code of Ethics\, a breakdown of the Code of Ethics and provide an overview of the Professional Standards System. 

\n

 

\n

Segment 2 - March 1st at 10am: 

\n

CRMLS Rules Overview a nd Citation Review Requests 

\n

This course will go through the most common MLS rule violations and the Citation Review Req uest process. 

\n

 

\n

Segment 3 - March 10th at 10am:  Grievance Committee Functions 

\n

The Grievance Committee determines whether a complaint\, on its fac e\, merits a formal Hearing on the matter by a Professional Standards Comm ittee Panel. This course will teach you how to analyze complaint to determ ine if a due process hearing is warranted. 

\n

 

\n

Segment 4 - March 18th at 10am: Professional Standards H earing Panels 

\n

The Professional Standards Comm ittee provides Ombudsman services\, hears complaints in matters of ethics and conducts mediation and arbitration hearings.  This course will take yo u through the ethics and arbitration hearing processes\, hearing panel dut ies and etiquettes\, and how to provide Ombudsman services.

Segment 5 - March 22nd at 10am: 

\n

Board of Director Reviews and the Presiding Officer’s Role in Hearings

\n

The Board of Direct ors are the appellate body for the Association’s Professional Standards Pr ogram.  This course will take you through the Original Presiding Officer’s role in Review Hearings and the appeals process.
