Meet Your 2021 President: Nancy Layne

We recently connected with Nancy to talk about her background and her new role:

What makes you proud to be a North San Diego County REALTOR®?
I am extraordinarily proud to be part of an organization so dedicated to its members, education, and the ethical practice of our profession. We've been building a reputation for integrity, results and professionalism for decades, and I've loved being a part of it.

Tell us about some of your favorite things to do around North County.
Most of what I do revolves around either family or my work, so I'm afraid I'm pretty boring. I love to go on hikes with my kids and dogs (and husband!) and I love to support our local businesses, either shopping or eating out (or from!) restaurants. I've always enjoyed the varied communities and exploring what makes each of them special. It's so intriguing to me that communities so close together can have such specific and separate personalities.

What are your plans as President of the Association?
I plan to focus on helping our members and our community navigate through the changes we're all experiencing in the industry. With so many things coming at us, I want to be the place that we can all go to for the information, education and direction we need.

What would you tell someone who is considering becoming a member of North San Diego County REALTORS®?
What are you waiting for? Come join us and let's build together!
About Nancy

Nancy is a 3rd generation San Diegan and started her love affair with Real Estate at a young age while looking at houses with her mother – for fun. It’s become a life-long “fun” habit and a decades-long career. Her education began at San Diego State University, majoring in English and continues to this day, with bi-annual education requirements for Hearings for the North San Diego County Realtors, in Ethics and Disciplinary complaints, and as a Director for the California Association of Realtors. “Everything I do to stay on top of the contract, the legal issues and the problems and concerns facing our industry is so that I can be the best advocate for my board, my clients and the agents I serve”.

With Nancy, it’s a passion and a promise; the right thing is always the right thing to do. As a mom of two amazing children, as a volunteer in the community, or as a board member on any number of committees, it’s a commitment to helping make each interaction, each transaction, each situation a little bit better, more informed and ultimately more comfortable and successful.
