Why Terminating a Tenancy is So Complicated During COVID? The rent moratorium and just cause eviction laws from last year are extremely confusing and a trap for the unwary. This presentation will explain in a clear and straightforward way:
- The Statewide Rent Cap and Just Cause Eviction law in effect since January of last year
- The Statewide Rent Moratorium law, and it's most recent extension under SB 91
- The federal CDC Order and local laws
- Offer tips and advice
Statewide Rent Assistance Program As or February, the state of California and some cities and counties are authorized to pay out $2.5 billion in rent assistance. Some fortunate landlords will be able to have much of their rent arrearages paid back. Find out how these programs work and whether you might qualify.
